For our color theory final we had to do a self-portrait. It was pretty open. Some students did abstact or surreal paintings that represented them in some way. I had been wanting to do more fantasy work so this was a good opportunity to create something in that genre. I used my likeness for both characters and the tree and the doorway are also from actual photo references.
