Star Song: The Rey-Qani

For the most part, I like each one I've done better than the last. I am pretty happy with this one. I like the next one better.

Superman at 80

I drew this a few months ago after not being happy with any of the Superman drawings I did during Inktober. I finished it tonight after being reminded Superman was 80. Still not quite happy with it, so you'll probably see more Superman here at some point.

Book Cover Idea

Back when I started doing paintings based on Beowulf, the idea was to do a fully painted illustrated version. These paintings were big (20 x 30) and I think I bit off more than I could chew at the time. N. C. Wyeth's book paintings (talk about big!) were kind of what influenced me to give it shot. But he was commissioned big bucks to do what he did. I couldn't devote that kind of time to mine when I had a full time job and family to take care of.

Anyway, I was playing around with one of those paintings in Photoshop recently and here's a mockup of the cover that might have been. Who know, maybe this (or something like it) will still happen someday.
