Mr. Incredible

A cartoon character. In oil. On canvas. Why not?

Mr. Incredible. Oil on canvas, 11x14.
after Brad Bird and Co.

I had some fun with oils. The Avengers was really good, but The Incredibles is still my favorite superhero movie. It just perfectly represents the genre. It's also my favorite animated movie, although I've got a feeling that's going to change with Pixar's new flick.

The Fountain of Wisdom

"The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook" Acrylic on hardboard, 32x40.

This isn't the superhero piece (obviously) I promised in my last post, I will post that next time. This is another acrylic I did in painting class last semester. It was done mostly with a palette knife a similar style as this piece. I am moving toward making oils my medium more and more. Maybe I'll bore you with why in a future post, but I wanted to post what may be my last acrylic for a while before moving onto my oil paintings.

$600 $300 plus shipping.

The Stone Table

The Stone Table. Gouache on matboard, 5x7.

There's a mysterious looking slab of stone in a wooded area near my house. I have no idea what it might have been used for, but it makes me think of some of the ruins from England or Ireland. I thought it would make an interesting fantasy type painting.
